Does anyone know of any commemorative currency they have printed? I am aware of the Coin & Currency Sets, but that currency is not truly Commemorative Currency in my mind. Let me know if I am wrong, thanks.

I don't know of any. I think all of the Commemoratives are coins.

I like the concept, however. It would be interesting to have commemorative currency.

In 1967, Canada's Centennial year, the one dollar bill was issued with a special reverse showing the Canadian Parliament buildings. Also some notes were issued with the double date 1867 1967 replacing the serial numbers.

G'day, I take it that you use "currency" to mean notes ?
There was a one-off series of polymer $10 to mark the bicentenary of British settlement of Australia in 1988. The is reputed to be the first issue of circulating polymer notes. In my humble opinion, this is one of the most beautiful notes ever produced. There was at least one variation within the production of this $10 note. After this was issued, production of the paper $10 resumed.
As each denomination of polymer note was introduced (1992~96), some notes bore the date of first issue - something not normally shown on Australian notes - but otherwise the same as the standards. So, these might be a little bit commemorative.
The Australian $5 polymer note of 2001 commemorated the Centenary of Federation - as did coins of denominations $1.00, 50c, and 20c. In 2002, regular production of polymer $5 resumed.

In 2006, for example, Hungary and Poland issued commemorative notes ...

Thanks for the information. All of those notes are beautiful, I will be looking into buying some, if possible. I really liked the note depicting the 50th Anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution. Will make a real effort to get some of those notes.. As usual the folks of the CCF help each other and again, thanks.

The $2 bill, series of 1976 was released on April 13th, 1976 which was Thomas Jefferson's birthday. This bill was issued during the Bicentennial and has a vignette of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on the reverse, so it is the closest the USA has ever come to a commemorative note.
