I caved in and bought a 2012 5 Oz. OGP Hawaii ATB...these are NOT cheap anymore($779)...anyway, I do not have another to compare with, so, I am stuck..there is in spots shelving, perhaps " Machine Doubling", or, "Shelf Doubling" on parts of the lava..all doubling shows as lines at edges......I do not see any notching(THAT would be nice), so, assume MDD of some kind, knowing these surely get struck multiple times for the finish, not uncommon on proof strikes.....if you have 1 of these, tell me if you see similarities, or, differences...I know if MDD, no extra premium, but, wanted to check in here, and get your thoughts.
Thanksxxxxx
Calvin

I've got two rolls of these Hawaii and Denali quarters with the same effect. Some of the hammered in areas look doubled, but with this new hammering technology, its going to be quite confusing to call something doubled and something Machine Doubling. It will probably take decades longer before some one sorts it all out. The Hawaii, Denali and one or two more are simply not right.
