Hi, I have more than 30+ coins that encapsulated by NGC that I remove from their holders/Crack out mostly in MS61-MS66 and submitted to PCGS. I tried to email NGC to remove the coins into their system that were crack out but no reply at all. Are they trying to keep the coin even its no longer in NGC holders? I just want to update the population report, that's is ! but seems they don't want to do it. I wonder why? any comments about this....Tnx

The problem on their end is that anyone can just look up cert numbers and email them saying it doesn't exist which can ruin their whole pop report if people who don't own the coin are doing it.

They might want you to send the labels in as proof or something along those lines. Also this is the busiest submission quarter of the year for pcgs and ngc with the new releases and all the shows. It's just not going to be at the top of their priority list when they've never been great about answering emails to begin with.

Your best bet will be to call and talk to someone if you'd like them removed.

Plus it takes away from their total numbers. I can see them stating that is what they actually certified in numbers. Maybe they require proof that the coin has actually been cracked out. maybe sending them the cert paper back, or a picture of it no longer in the holder they actually do something about it.

Not sure about NGC but PCGS wants to keep their populations as accurate as possible. They will pay $0.50 for each old PCGS label you send them. Perhaps NGC does something similar.

Send them the labels, then they will remove the coins from the population.
