i am wondering, it is really worth saving these? I probably have close to 5,000 of them now since I started "hoarding" them in 2012.

You can sell them for a premium on ebay. But you have to sell enough of them to make it worth your while with all the sellers fees. I dont see copper prices going to the moon anytime soon, but who knows.

They are definitely worth saving , a nice relic from the bygone days when they were stuffed with copper ......get them a nice container and they can be like a treasure chest

Many decades into the future copper pennies will be the new silver ...for CRH`ers.

Only 5,000? There are some hoarders with many, many times that. It's sort of like saving Beanie Babies. Yes some day may be worth something. BUT, if all just plain old pennies, you could do better with changing them in for a gallon of gasoline for your car. Well maybe a bit more than a gallon. The problme I have with saving that many of anything, is I'm old and just don't see myself with those in about 100 more years.
I used to do the hoarding of rolls of coins too. Then one day I looked up what I had and ended up taking to a bank.
