I'm no coin expert by any means, but there's a few black flags for me on this one.

Link to the listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1878-S-Morg...em417e86ab9e

#1 - I think this was a real short listing. Like half a day if that. I'm not 100% sure on that though.
#2 - The numbers just seem a bit "fat" to me in the date.
#3 - The stars on the obverse look a little misshaped and "soft".
#4 - There seems to be some weird blotchiness next to the "N" in United States on the reverse. That same blotchiness also appears to the left of the lower part of the eagle's left wing.

Most of all, there were no coins minted in San Francisco dated 1878 using a type C reverse die (aka slanted arrow feather)

chinese counterfeiters are really idiots.

1878 S reverses should either be B2 reverse http://www.vamworld.com/1878-S+VAM-8 or the more desirable B1 reverse die http://www.vamworld.com/1878-S+VAM-27 both having the parallel top arrow feather.

Here's a genuine 1878-S Morgan, that sold at Heritage.

It already has, but the more reports ebay receives, the more attention it will get.
