I estimated 12 boxes, @ 2500 per box = 30,000. But I see itlnstln921 beat me too that number, I will guess 13 boxes so 32,500 pennies :)

I definitely misjudged the size of the jug...based on a poor estimation of the size of your dog. This jug likely weighs in the neighbourhood of 200lbs if not slightly heavier.

I'd say a little over double what your able to move, so 8x2500= 20,000 plus another 1750 to top it off = a Guess of 21,750 I am at a remote site, but that looks like a large water bottle, and I have an empty one of those at home. I also have a lot of pennies/ cents at home as well....
BUT I am not willing to open the safe, caryy the pennies to a container and dump all of those pennies in for an accurate count, I'd have to sort them and that would take more time than a person dragging this thing for miles to a local bank !
= Þ
Its a nice collection of cents. I am wondering if you take such a huge container to say a Coinstar, will it clog the machine with a copper overdose? I think you would get some dirty looks if you walked into the bank and said you'd like to make a deposit......hehehehe
So if my guess is close, at 21750 coins, and its roughly 144 US Cents equals one pound, thats about 151 pounds or close to 440-450 rolls.
HEY ! I think I see a 1955 Doubled Die in there, somewhere ! ( just kidding).

Are you gonna make me count them as I look ? Then this post may take some time to close!
I'll take your word for it, I am sure you checked them for the valuable ones. = )

I'm saying right around $300.00 worth. So, 30100, but that's taken, so I'll move up to 30,172

Quote: How long did that take to fill? im not exactly sure, it has been years. it has been filling up faster since I started coin roll hunting last 2 years, when I would drop a penny on the floor instead of picking it up right away I would just grab another penny from a bowl to top off the roll and when it was time to sweep the floor I would take those pennies and put them in the jar
