Absolutely one of my favorite reverses on a coin, the 1925 Stone Mountain Commemorative Half Dollar boasts one of the coolest eagles on any american coin, at least in my opinion . Would love to know everyone's thoughts on a grade. Coin has loads of luster don't know if that's as obvious in the photos. Thanks for looking!

Here's another shot that shows the luster a little better.

Little bit of chatter on inboard horse and riders leg, reverse "States" and rim,
so a little banged up, I'd say high AU, nice pics btw.

What is going on with the reverse rim above "AM" of AMERICA?

Weakly struck example with plenty of hits and chatter ... your fine high-resolution photos are undoubtedly showing details that are likely not obvious in hand ... for example I can observe the die polishing lines on the obverse ... at the figures heads and the horses front legs.

Impossible for me to gauge between AU and MS without the coin in hand ... it's either AU58 if there are breaks in the luster due to rub ... or MS63.

Likely a 'details' grade either way because of the reverse rim issues.

Is the reverse rim by AM a planchet defect? The rest of the coin looks MS63, but the rim may preclude that grade being assigned.
