Just wondering if the coin is too chewed up to have any value. Thanks.

This one is just about as knocked around as my example.
Still has a place in my collection, though.

A bit too poor in condition to show up in a catalogue value list.
I picked up mine out of a dealer's $10 junk box, perhaps 5 years or so ago.

I wasn't particularly bothered if I paid one or two dollars too much or not enough for it; just a fun pickup.

That a great coin, regardless if its chopped up. I have a carolus II farthing that is pretty slick but it is one of my favorite coins in my collection.

It has no value to a collector apart from bullion but a nice pocket piece.

Does anyone else think this knight be a planchet flaw, rather than post-mint damage?

Philadelphian may be onto something. The marks are similar to what may appear due to a flan flaw. Still I think that because this coin is an old issue it will have value over bullion. I'd say $10 wouldn't be a bad price to pay.
