Yep. It's from Southeast Asia, in case you're having trouble reading the Malay on the page mass linked to.

It's the same basic class of object as the ones on these zeno.ru pages. They are related to the "Islamic temple tokens" of India, in that they serve a similar function, as both Hajj Pilgrim medals and as "good luck charms". The Seven Yasins, seen on your item, are a common theme; apparently there is a widespread belief in Southeast Asia, that the word "yasin", repeated seven times, is supposed to bring good fortune.

We've also seen numerous examples of these "Hajj pilgrim / magic coins" before here on the forum. This thread has links and explanations.
