Well I broke down and spent more than I have ever spent on a coin. I got one of the 1864 clashes.

Sweet, I've been watching that one to see if it would sell! I spent more than two decades looking for one, Still have not cherry picked an example yet. I have a couple PCGS slabbed examples, one MS63RB and an AU55. I just got a low end example of the FE cent with the clash from a seater quarter, need a few more coins to finish off that sub variety collection of multi denominational clashed coins.

I will hold off attributing your coins since you got the book on the way! More fun to do it yourself anyways. Always glad to meet another 2¢ nut.

Let me know if you can't figure out which varieties you have after you get Frank's book. He has changed all the numbers since publishing his 1864 variety book, another out of print and hard to find book. Kevin Flynn's Authoritative Reference on Two Cent Coins is also a very nice book, but I still prefer Frank's references.

Neat variety, I have one myself that I picked up from Frank Leone earlier this year in PCGS AU58.
