The Maundy version has a 3 and a crown above it for this year, people are paying a high price for what this is. Buyers beware, always do your own research.

The reverse symbols changed in 1927-1936 too oaks sprigs and with three acorns. Then it changed to the shield reverse. Be careful when buying Maundy money!

Do you think I/we should report it to stop some people spending alot on a coin worth not alot?

You are correct. Maundy threepence remained as the crowned 3 design, and I believe also remained to be sterling silver when their circulation counterparts changed design.

One thing I have found on ebay is that sellers are wont to describe any circulation 1, 2, 3, or 4 pence coin as "maundy" regardless. In this case it is glaringly obvious it is not a maundy piece, and people really should know better.

However, even a real maundy piece that worn wouldn't be worth much over BV.

I've reported it, but you are totally right-people should know better. And agreed with value, the guy has another 'Maundy coin' for sale which are more difficult to I.D. when circulated. Maundy issues for the year 1919 have like a mirrored look, and are in proof like condition.

Shame the bidders don't see the link below the listing selling the same coin for £1.40, probably in better condition.

Also I should add, it's pretty late here in the U.K. now and this listing finishes when the majority of U.K. people are sleeping-bar the likes of me night owl. I wonder if it's aimed at another audience?

Hmm. Good point, but it doesn't appear that he ships to the States.
