Hi!
Just out of curiosity, have you ever had your (pre)orders cancelled by the mint? If so, how often does that occur?
Sadly, I received my first one today since being a MC member at the end of 2011. This order was the venetian frog I had ordered in March.

Hi welcome to the forum! Iv'e been a masters club member since September 2013 but I haven't had any of my orders cancelled yet. I heard about the recent Venetian Glass Frog cancellations and I think that for the most part they were random, but I am not exactly sure how RCM chose which orders to cancel. There was definitely a high demand for the coin upon MC release and the Mint could not fulfill all the orders at once. Sorry to hear about your cancellation, hopefully the Mint prevents this in the near future.

I've been a M/C member for over a decade, and have never had an out right cancellation. I have had a reduction on the 20/4/20's but I was fine with that. Both my Glass Frogs came in today - nice green ones.

My frogs got cancelled too....first time I've ever had an order cancelled in 3 years of MC membership.

Thanks for the welcome! I called in today to ask for an explanation and they only told me they were oversold. I find that hard to believe since most of the time, some coins would be 'awaiting stock' by the time it gets released to MC members. It was too bad I received the email today. Went to several PO and called around but the coin was sold out. Apparently the main PO in Vancouver only received one coin.  I guess I can always put a small plastic toy frog on my 2010 water lily coin

me too today received an email "As you requested, your Royal Canadian Mint order has been successfully cancelled. " Extremely frustrated.

al996, have you tried the Vancouver boutique? The Mint site shows that all 3 Mint boutiques still have the frog in stock. Might be worth a call and check it out. If they are out of stock, perhaps you could request a call back on any returned frogs...?

Allspice: thanks for the suggestion but I have called the vancouver boutique yesterday and they told me the coin was sold out. They told me that there was a massive line up on Tuesday for the coin. What happened before was they took down your information during the 'release date' and then called you when stock was available. The available inventory status on the website may indicate someone else's order. And yes they only emailed me on April 3, 2014 to tell me that my preordered was cancelled. If only they had done that in March... Next time I will have to order from Canada post just to be safe. Update: Sweet! ordered one at issue price @ http://www.thecoinshoppe.ca thanks to silveroid for posting this on the other thread
