Hello All,

I know that this is the NSF 53 quarter. Beyond that, no idea. For some weird reason, I had it in my head that the RCM didn't make PLs until the 60s? But, here we are... I don't know what the difference is between PL and SP; nor the 'small date/large date'. I know what the abbreviations mean (PL/SP), but I don't know what the difference is, physically? PL/SP identifiers, if any.

Perhaps someone would be kind enough to enlighten me about what I have here -- Or even if it's simply a very mirror-like UNC/BU regular strike.

As always, very much appreciated.

Cheers.

All '53 NSF quarters are large date.
All '53 SF are small date.
There were PL and SP strikes in '53
All PL are SF small date, yours thus isn't PL.
SP strikes a have much better quality of strike than your coin.
