Thanks, Amazon99. That answers a couple of questions. So, there IS a Whitman folder! I might have to look into that. My only concern would be if the coins are securely in the holes or might fall out during shipping. Also, by looking at the 3CN conditions, I would think that the ones I'll be offering are overall in much better shape. His seemed to be in low grade with some damaged.
Edited to add: I just discovered that the 2-3 cent folders are out of print. I dif find a site selling them for 5 bucks each, though. For ease of shipping, I'll probably let the buyer deal with how to hold the coins. Personally, I think it's a shame not use an album for these coins.

If I were you, I would ship the coins outside of the album so that they don't fall out and get damaged. I would also list the auction as an "high grade" starter set. I know the auction that I posted was mainly junk, but people went for it. If I was just looking into starting a 3cn collection, I would have probably bid on your auction rather than the other, because I would rather have VF+ coins, instead of some damaged/scratched/filler type coins mixed in with lower grade examples. I think the success in your auction if you do it, is to take very good pictures of all the coins in the set, so people know that's they're worth a high price to pay for them.

I'm with Benji and the rest of the folks for that matter. I think you can set up an auction here, or just put pricing on them and sell them. You of all people know what the going rate is on these coins regardless of what the price guides say. I would put them in the sell forum and list the price you want, and reap the benefits of your labor of love. I for one would be pruchasing at least one of your finer examples. That is if I can't talk you out of a higher grade you may have lying around...

To be perfectly honest I've never visited the member auction forum until just now. It does sound like a neat way to sell some material. Do most people that are active in this U.S. Coin Forum visit that auction forum? I'm not sure how I missed it before.

Yeppers. I know quite a few do for sure, and you can probably just look at the folks that have responded and at least double it to come up with the amount that have looked at them.

I got the coins today! I'm very happy with the overall quality of this lot. It averages a decent VF+. Thanks for everyone's encouragement. Keep your eyes open on the Buy board (and possibly the auctions).
