I have one, it is a trick coin with two machined sides stuck together. Some trick coins will use a male/female friction fitting while my example is soldered together and has the seam on the edge.

It's a Magician's coin used for coin tricks. Usually sold at novelty shops and the like for $1-2.

They are non magnetic so it can be used in the slots with out tripping the slug mech. Around here some of the shop keepers get coinage from their home country or Canada and pass it out in change in their stores. The reason why people in the Detroit are get mad the same sob's have large signs at the cash register no Canadian or foreign money accepted!
Back in the day at one point they were making 30 bucks per hundred or so on the exchange rate. That is till the Canadian banks put a stop to large purchases of coinage with US bills.
Now they just have it shipped in from home. people that get a couple of coins just pass it off to the cashiers that aren't paying attention.
Those coins are going for about $4.00 now.
