I was reading my email updates from Coin World and I saw this article which mentioned how a glass bottle links to a Civil War token. I included a photo of the bottle below since the image in the article was small.

Nope I'm not Q. David Bowers. I'm a huge fan of his articles and books though.

10 out of the 48 books in my library were written by him.

Thanks for sharing. Bitter bottles were quite common back then, and the "Drs" who were peddling them also advertised on CWTs. Here is the link to another CWT & bottle I posted a while back...

NY 845A-1a through 2b, a total of 5 varieties.
