This is not a new post; however, I posted it in the wrong spot (modern coins) - requested it be moved to the proper thread, and it got moved to the to the classic coins spot.
I'm posting it here because I'd like to get some of you folks to view it, and offer an opinion as to what you think it should grade.
I'm bouncing between three different grades, and just can't decide. I need some help with this one.....please. Thanks.

The "M" for Morgan is located a the end of the hairs near the point of the neck. The area near the ear may be a bag mark or other post mint damage ( PMD)
VF is probably good for this coin. It does look like it may have been lightly cleaned up a bit, but its tough to say for absolutely sure. There is significant buildup on the reverse near the "O" in ONE and around the left side if the wreath.

There is a small gouge in the ear area, a couple of noticeable scratches/scuffs in the forehead area, and a good deal of wear on the hair above the ear.
The M appears to me (when compared with other Morgans) to be in the proper location.
As for cleaning.....I've only had the coin for a few days now, and can't say what may, or may not, have happened to it on its journey to my doorstep, but I can say it looks better in hand than in the scan - there again, that holds true for just about any coin that is scanned.
I've been grading my own coins for a little while now, and usually don't have questions about my own judgment, but this one had me waffling between VF-30, VF-35, and EF-40.
I'm thinking it has a little more detail than VF-30, but I question if it has enough detail to qualify as EF-40, so I posted it here for other opinions on the grade.
I appreciate (and thank you) for your comments, and it appears the majority of you who responded feel it would qualify for VF-35, and I'm comfortable with that. Thanks.

Thanks Eagle.
From the time I got it in my hand, I was all but certain of the VF-35 grade, and the possibility of it grading extra fine was just wishful thinking on my part.
I'm still trying to upgrade my first set - whenever I can afford to.....wanting to get it as close to uncirculated as I can before they start shoveling dirt in my face. :)
