This coin looks like it has an RPM to the East of the primary mark and there is another little line that looks like it might be a third on the right side of the curve on the S mint mark. I wanted to know if some members can tell me if it is the only RPM for this date which is the RPM-001 as listed by CONECA? Also, wanted to know if the mint mark has been added or it is Machine Doubling? Thanks for the help!
-Steve

The 1953-s RPM-001 is a south, not an east. Hard to know for sure if this is a RPM or Machine Doubling. The area under the mint mark area's devices. Could you give up a good image of those so we can see what is going on there? If the east side of those devices are showing the same marking, then it would be Machine Doubling. The RPM should be rounded, but the image kind of shows it as mostly flat. So better images might help. It might be a new die number for CONECA or it is Machine Doubling. The jury is still out for me now.

Thanks for the help coop. This one has got me all messed up. It looks like the top part of the S is flat while the lower portion looks rounded. Sorry about these pics, don't know if they will help or not but are the best I can get. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The area in question looks flat, but the is the direction the Machine Doubling happened. It also looks like the overall design is reduced. (Another indication of Machine Doubling.) But I would like to see if there is any other area affected from the same direction on the devices. The mint marks can sometimes be the only device affected as they are punched into the die deeper and while the coin is ejected it can damage that area. So check on the devices in the same area to see if there is any other area affected the same as the mint mark. On the olive branches, the devices below the mint mark area. The arrows on the right side. If you can find that, it would be a sure sign that it is Machine Doubling. Then you can move on. But without that we are in limbo for now.
