With all this "talking to Brinks" going on, has anyone asked them to confirm or deny the constant allegations that they remove all the silver coins from the coins that they handle, before shipping them out to banks ?

Denco7============ Thanks for a prompt reply My personal opinions is there will AG in Bags, Boxes, Rolls about forever. Maybe a lesser and lesser amount, as time goes on. But, lazy, Stupid, Ignorant people will keep on selling dumping etc. And of course the thieves and gran' kids will be what they are. Let's talk a little about Toned coins. I did a search on sold Ike TONED dollars. One particular Ike was RAW. Had 60+ bids. Bidding STARTED at $.99 with $5.00 shipping. I think the final bid was over $500. As far as I can see it is NOT all about AG. Very-Very "Good" LOWBALLs are worth more money than most low grade Morgan or Peace.

Denco- I have searched brinks boxes for years and for the most part done well. If any of these companies removed silver nobody would find anything . Remember, coin is not the property of the armored car company... They only store, process, roll and distribute for each bank they do business with. There may be a rare case of employees picking silver but it would be very difficult. With cameras everywhere and the amount of coin volume that is processed it would be extremely tedious and time consuming to cherry pick AG. I work for a large bank and have contacts within the armored carriers. I have asked various employees and they all the say the same thing about swapping coin - absolutely not. It would be cause for firing. THe key here is to keep in mind- most of the silver has not been produced in over 50 years! A lot has been melted, collected, hoarded and simply disappeared from circulation . Supply cannot keep up with demand when most silver stopped being produced for circulation over half a century ago .

I agree with about 100% of your thoughts. I am still "Trying" to get $1,000 Ike bags, because I personally "hope" Simple minded, Lazy, Ignorant individuals are selling or dumping AG. As far as Gran' Kids and thieves are concerned, keep it all locked up; or stored in a bank vault

Domain - keep trying! armored carriers have them or can also 'swap' between banks in their vaults to fill orders. I think many tellers simply don't have time or knowledge within their bank to get ahold of the right person to get in touch with a contact at the armored carrier to request such an order. I will say, I have first hand knowledge, that armored carriers have these in stock and would love to get rid of them, but they just need the bank to specifically request them. Most banks don't want to be bothered because they think this will become a regular order and that they may eventually get these returned to their inventory and have to ship them out again.

Mr. Click================ Quote: I'm getting an itch for more Ike's!! I'm going to go ask some bank tellers for another order, maybe I'll get lucky again. Quote: I need to find a teller that knows how to talk to the Vault! Hopefully I'll find a endless vein soon!! If that happens...... It will be a PARTY!! Today I was able to get out of the house. On CCF === The "SUPREMES" have given the advice that BANKS = EVIL. And GO Credit Unions. So I did. First I called the CREDIT UNION CENTRAL. After a 8 minuet hold, Mr Xxxxxx said they could and would get me IKEs. Then he said they only come in $1,000 BAGS. I said I would take 2 Bags to get started. Then I went to the closest branch with all my homework in written form. Ms Susan was very cooperative. I wanted to open a small $100 SAVING ACCOUNT to get it started. I left no ambiguity about the difference between Ikes and the little dollars. Ms Susan was so helpful she found 119 IKEs in another branch AND SHE OFFERED to have them shipped to her branch so I did not have to drive to an area far away. Talk about service. Who knows === maybe soon I will have 2 fresh bags, and a brand new source for Eisenhower dollars. At the very least I will get the 119 coins. Who knows was is in that small batch? Toned? ERRORs? PEGLEGs? .40% SILVER, Proofs, DMPL. Mr. Click. Please visit CREDIT UNIONS. AOMT. Thanks to the SUPREMES

See post head. Maybe I will have a better source for Ikes, from this Credit Union. I hope.
