Ike Large Dollar Coin Bags From Cash Vault

CLS12 Pillar of the Community United States 509 Posts	Posted 04/09/2014 11:45 am I asked the coin lady at my local BOA.. she's the only one allowed to take coins from the vault.. she said that they can't order them and that they occasionally get 1 or 2 turned in but nothing consistent. hcmusicguy Pillar of the Community United States 814 Posts	Posted 04/09/2014 1:19 pm I work for a bank that uses Brinks. They cannot be ordered, and we've tried several times for people. As far as the Fed is concerned, banks/cash vault services can order "dollars" which means whatever they feel like shipping out. Ike dollars are so much less common than the small-size dollars that most orders for "dollars" are filled with the various types of golden dollars mixed with SBAs. Report this Post to the Staff

tpmjr2004 Valued Member United States 160 Posts	Posted 04/10/2014 09:08 am From a previous thread I read that Ike dollars aren't on the banks' order list, however, if the bank call brinks, or whoever their carrier is, and specifically ask for the large dollars, they will send them if they have them. The hard part is finding a teller that will make the call for you. I have yet to try to get a bag as I don't think my CRH bankroll is large enough to sit on a bag Ikes for very long, but I will try soon hopefully. Report this Post to the Staff
