I ran across a listing on ebay that had a roll of quarters that was marked "Restricted for Alaska State Residents Only". Is this a mint issue? Really odd thing is that the roll has 25 coins. It also says "Brilliant- Never Circulated". Kind of odd wording for the mint. Also doesn't say US Mint anywhere although it does say Denver Mint.

Rest in Peace

Sounds like some third party product--rolls containing a non-standard number of coins usually are. There was a post on here where a member found similar rolls of 2005 nickels. These people buy BU rolls in bulk and feed them through their own rolling machines and sell them for a profit.

They're not actually worth more than the $6.25 inside of them.

That is some World Reserve Monetary Exchange mass-marketing schlock. They took out double page ads in many major newspapers with all kinds of sales buzzwords such as "limited time" and geographical ordering restrictions". They are the same company that was selling the ridiculous gold brick ballistic rolls of Sacagawea and Presidential dollars.

This past weekend they had a full page ad in one of the local papers for Buffalo nickels that were "restricted" to only the residents of Indiana. Bu go ten miles east across the state line you will find the exact same ad in the paper, except they are "restricted" to the residents of Ohio. So hurry and reserve your 1/4 pound of these rare nickels before they are all gone for the incredibly low price of only $59 plus shipping and handling. That 1/4 pound is 22 average circ Buffalo nickels for roughly $70 all expenses included.

There is a special place in heck reserved for the people running World Monetary Reserve.

We had a nearly identical ad in our local newspaper "Northwest Florida Daily News" about 2 weeks ago "restricted" to Florida residents. I did a similar quick calculation on the number of nickels per bag and couldn't believe what a rip off it was. I feel bad for those people who fell for the advertising hipe and didn't read the ad more closely.

Yes they did those "restricted to residents of..." for every state. It was just a scam way of trying to trick people into thinking they were getting something special, while they were actually being sold common everyday quarters at a premium price.
