Kafka Valued Member Canada 352 Posts	Posted 04/09/2014 5:38 pm Is the thing beside the 1 on the left hand side a dot or a pit? Which brings me to my next question, what is the difference? And how is this viewed by error collectors? Thanks! Oh and the penny has lots of lustre. The dark spot in the middle is the camera lens. Report this Post to the Staff

lambecolin Pillar of the Community Canada 618 Posts	Posted 04/10/2014 10:15 pm Just a comment on the size of that gas bubble,pits or dots. Dots are design features that are massive compared to pits. Dots are there for a purpose---mainly to provide an optical sense of balance to whatever is near the dot. Pits are random and do not make any design sense. Dots are made to be seen---not small.
