I cant tell if its a piece of debris struck in or a crack.

rezin...I have been trying to figure out what could have caused this...Take a look at your coin..I made it so it shows the wear areas (green area), and where the arrows are pointing, it looks like excessive wear, where there shouldn't be..strange.

It's probably a die crack. That particular spot is a fairly common place for them in quite a number of years.

definitely a die crack, I have a few that start on the 1 and end on the S, nice one.
