I recently bought a batch of cook island explorers $50 Stirling silver coins and they look good. have high build quality and colour but on the scales they are a bit all over the place. we are talking of a range of 19-19.40 grams on a coin that is meant to hit 20.94grams
anyone else encountered this?
anyone else got some that they can chuck on a scale?
I would usually call fake but the coin quality is fantastic, the packaging has the appropriate age to it and I see no reason why someone would fake such a low value coin in such high quality
I have to say if franklin mint "stole" 1 gram of silver per coin that is a lot of money they made!
