I've read some online reviews and was directed to this sight by Numismaster. They say they're a reputable dealer. Has anyone had any experience with LC Coins to know whether they're able to be trusted or not? They have a wide selection, original pictures, and a non-sketchy website. https://www.lccoins.com/

On some coins, yes. I've seen a few deals that I'll get, but unfortunately, everything else is a bit overpriced.

I have sold some and bought some coins to LC Coins in the past, but their retail pricing is 2-3 times more than market price on average. At shows is where I've done business with them, and they were okay on pricing. I wouldn't mail order items from them at the prices they ask however. Shop around or better yet let us know what types of coins you are looking for, I'm sure many of us at CCF could direct your to more fair dealers specializing in your interest area. Overall US type coins, try Jack Beymer http://beymerzcoins.com he always has great coins at pretty decent prices. (Not affiliated with Jack, nor does he even know I posted this) I've just been a happy customer of his many, many times.

I have delt with this company many times, everything is negotiable with them. I have talked them down quite a few times. I once purchased five NGC graded proof nickels from them and got a email from them asking if I wanted to pick out another coin for free. I got an $100.00 graded jefferson for free. They ask high but almost all the time they will work with you on a lower price..

Don't know about them BUT, I went to their web site and as soon as I saw FIRST STRIKE stuff, that was enough for me. Sort of like UNESARCHED.

Quote: Jack's site is difficult to navigate, any help? I agree it's not the easiest, just click on his inventory page then you will have a long list in denomination order of everything he sells. No photos is the biggest issue I have, but his descriptions are good, as are all of his coins. A very fair dealer IMO.

I only bought from these guys because they have a few coins for my PCGS type set that are hard-to-come-by slabbed. I included the different varieties of cents in my type set (wheat back, steel wheat back, copper memorial, zinc memorial, zinc shield). I also have clad dimes, quarters, etc. and they have them pretty cheap, so I thought I'd knock out all the boring PCGS moderns in one blow. It'll really make my type set look meatier.

Jack Beymer has been around for YEARS! A friend of the BCCS. He is very traditional, so you need to plod through his listings. Yet, he split grades LONG BEFORE the arrival of TPGs. You have to trust his word descriptions which is also old timer stuff. I'd trust him.

I have bought from LCCoins many times, they are fine. Just watch your budget. But they have great customer service and you have no worries about legitimacy. Best Regards, George
