I see a little some signs that are similar to markers but different.
notch thick left wheat, very notcable in the s and thickiness in UM (picture 3)

CLASS 2 (EDS) Markers

Doubling, with notching and division lines, is seen on the motto E. PLURIBUS. UNUM and the left wheat stalk.

Sorry. I'm just seeing a normal coin. The circulation wear, die wear and slight Machine Doubling got you on this one.

See the lines moving toward the rim? Date area shows it best. The 1950's dies, died from over work that decade on the wheat cents.

The 1958P-1DO-001 Look at the "U" in TRUST. Note the thickness at the bottom of this devices. It is not present on your coin.

I agree with coop, as I was scrolling through your pics I seen a lot of things going on all at once but no hub doubling.

ok, thanks, yeah I should picked up on that, I see it clearly now. This one had a lot going on but looked more extreme in hand then under the scope. The pluribus had me thinking maybe with the extra raised thickness in bus in the 3rd picture. I am still not there on this yet but everyday I get closer.

The "eye" doesn't develop over night. After one rolls, it gets a lot of training. We didn't start in school and the next year were seniors in high school. Enjoy the ride. Don't sweat getting thing incorrect. We all make errors. It's what we do with the knowledge we receive. I still learn stuff all the time. Just the other day I learned that until 1836 the mint didn't regularly use a collar until that year. That is why the strikes on the pre 1836 coins didn't have strong rim denticles. Double strikes look confusing to us when they look back at the pre-1835 coins. We either learn or remain stubborn with our own thoughts. We decide to advance or not.

I went "all-in" on equipment to make my life ALOT easier.
I have posted in here about what I like to use, and it has made all the difference in the world.

I not only collect coins, I roll hunt, bag hunt, buy and sell coins as well. Over the past five months, my son and I have gone through over 50,000 BU Lincoln Memorial cents looking for RPM's DDO's and DDR's. Try that with a Loupe or something that you have to struggle with to get a good image.

I understand that people have budgets, I do as well.
But My personal time is important, and if I have tasks to do, I like to get through them as complete and accurate as I can.

I buy quicker than I can possibly go through all these coins, but I majke progress every night. This weekend, by myself, I went through 46 rolls of BU Lincoln cents, because of the comfortability of my setup. Typically I can do more over a weekend, but its Spring and I have my "self inflicted Honey Do list" to complete. = )

In any event, with the Wheatbacks, the Dead give away for me are the egg shaped dots and the double wide leg of the "L". As Coop said, the "U's" are typically thicker at the bottom, but sometimes I run into a few where the "U's" are inconsistent and I have to scratch my head and wonder why.

I think the $145.00 AmScope Stereo microscope is a great investment to self verify a lot of these coins. I have the 3.5 to 30x stereo binocular version.
My son and I use it religiously and it is the prime microscope for shooting absolutely incredible pictures through.
