I don't really collect these things so I don't have any idea of grade nor value of this coin so any help would be greatly appreciated

I'd say EF 45 details; I think there's too much wear on Liberty's hair and on the eagles wings to go AU 50. Rims appear intact (they so often have dents and dings.) I'm not sure about the toning and if it is hiding anything. The toning really makes this coin look different from what we commonly see for bust halves. Without knowing more about the seller and/or seeing the coin in hand, I'd speculate that this coin could possibly have been cleaned and artificially toned. If it is original, it's a heck of nice coin!

Cool toning. I'd say AU50.

its my coin and I have had it for quite awhile, I bought a few when I was filling that hole in my dansco and picked out the one I liked best for the hole and me not being a tone person I just didn't want it in with all the other white coins I had in the album. I do not know if it was cleaned or anything like that but I have looked at it under a 60x microscope and can see no hairlines but didn't inspect it for them all over the coin but I will do that before I sell it since it was mentioned that it may be the case. I was thinking of offering it on this forum to members but have no idea what a fair price would be for it if everything checks out to be legit and not cleaned/retoned

Bryan...it might not have ever been cleaned...I just was speculating that the toning gives the coin an unusual appearance. As I said, too, if natural, that is one fine coin!

That is an awesome coin. If and when you put it up for sale here, do you have any idea if it will be an auction or a straight up sale item?
