It looks very real until you get to the bottom of the ad where the seller discloses: "On 14-Apr-14 at 22:45:56 EDT, seller added the following information: PLEASE NOTE that this is a gold-plated item." Clad and plated bars are not fake unless the seller states they are real. Buyers just have to be extremely careful and read the entire listing before bidding. I wouldn't buy any gold myself on ebay unless it is from a well known dealer such as MCM or APMEX. Report this Post to the Staff

I have seen that before tho,,, at the VERY END of the auction they add the "fine print". I even see similiar dirty tactics used in selling vintage toys, such as Star Wars toys...
