I just went to the bank today and got $50.00 in pennies like usual. The 1st box was the normal 25% copper. This other box, however was almost all copper. Then I get to these rolls that say Federal Reserve Bank on them, and the end coins are all uncirculated, and there from the 1960's and 1970's. Should I open the rolls?

I open them cause you never know what is in there. I'd probably wear some gloves though because if the are UNC you don't want to get fingerprints on them.

I would open them and look for errors and varieties as well as any high grades.

I think it is safe to open them. There might be an error or a variety.

I would not open them. If you can see the date & MM, more than likely, these will be a full roll of the same.

Yeah, I decided not to open the rolls. One of the rolls was already opened in the box, and they are all the same mint location and date.

If you don't need them for your collection, I'd say ebay it. BU rolls will go for a few dollars each, which is a good return on your investment as far as cents go.

Can you tell what years you have? Some years have known errors or varieties that can be worth quite a bit. Break them open if you think you might have something special; otherwise leave them as-is and you can expect $3-10 each on ebay.

Yeah, there 1979 and 1980 cents with no mint mark. I put them on ebay for $5.00 each and I have 29 of them.
