I was just going to ask that?! Auction: 380877520131For a couple minutes, I was winning...and then it went over $500. I only bid because the grade was just good enough to see the doubled liberty. My top bid was $287. But, $587 for a mid-grade raw IHC? I just couldn't go there.

I wanted it bad and I graded it at F12 with a light cleaning. I went for it. I've been following it from the moment he posted it.

Oh ok--I just figured out you were the top bidder--no offense intended. I was bummed I didn't win lol I was just surprised at how high it got--but like I said, I just couldn't do it. But I know this variety has huge demand--I was unprepared at how high it went, raw and all.

I have been watching that coin just out of curiosity to see how high it would go. I wasn't going to bid on it, and if I did I wouldn't have gone that high. Quite a substantial premium. DV and Raymo- sorry one of you didn't get it
Congratulations Raymo-when I posted I didn't know you won it. One graded F-15 was recently sold on Heritage for $940, so I believe you did pretty good.

I priced a problem free F12 at $1125 and I was hoping to get it at half to 3/4 of that so I'm stoked to have gotten it. I knew it was gonna go big with that much of Liberty showing along with all the other indicators. I figured there was 3 or 4 of us here bidding.

Yeah I wish that one guy hadn't shown up lol. I told Keith at Pinetree that he was gonna get shocked in a bit. After the smoke had cleared he figured it out. I got a nice 1902 S4 from him also.

Congrats! You got a good deal Raymo...I thought the value was easily $750. But I'm just cheap--hoping I'll get a real deal. From the looks of it, it's just not gonna happen with this variety on ebay.

It's gonna have to be an obscure listing. This one was just too obvious to slip through the cracks.

Yeah, probably a fuzzy picture that I take a chance on...would be my best bet. Course, I recently picked up a nice 1887 DDO in VF/EF for $10.

I haven't found one yet but I'm trying. Most pics just aren't good enough to be able to spot em.
