I'm getting around $2000 back in federal taxes this year, so to celebrate getting my own money back I decided to remove one more item from my dream coin list:

1900 Morgan dollar (PR-62)

The pictures don't show the mirror finish and I'm hoping PR62 is still good enough quality to actually look like a proof coin. Anything above PR62 is just way out of my budget, however.

Here is a PR63 example from the PCGS site that looks mighty nice, so hopefully mine won't be too far off:

Those hairline scratches looks to be on the holder from APMEX, hopefully it looks better in hand! And if you don't like it, return it. Nice addition if it work out to your benefit.

It looks very nice, but also very dark. If you are willing to accept the darkness of the coin, I'm sure you'll love it.

I'm thinking/hoping that the darkness is due to the way they had to set up the lighting to avoid reflections, since it is a proof. I guess I'll find out...

I bet it's almost black in-hand, it strikes me as very overexposed to bring out the color. Typical of the so-called "True-View" service.
Rest in Peace

It looks like the light source was set at an angle to minimize the reflection resulting in a less than flattering image. I hope you are pleasantly surprised when you get this in hand.

I feel ya, man! Me too!
That one in the picture doesn't look proof 63 to me at ALL! Looks Proof 69, the only problem being the smudge on the left.
The toning's great too.

Title of post says TASK. Not sure if you really mean TASK but paying the government for what they do is really a TASK so your right there.
Nice coin for your tax money.
Here is a horrible thought though. If you got $2,000 back, that means the government held about $166/Month of your money. IF you planned ahead, you could have put that same amount away each Month and collected interest on it all year long. Or as I do, I owe them money each year. BUT all the money I owe was sitting in an account gaining interest. Just a thought.
Still nice coin.

Heh. Just a typo, I'm afraid. Which I've just fixed...

Appreciated. I actually do plan ahead, but it doesn't always work out. I have a side business that requires me to pay estimated taxes, and things took a sharp downturn last year. As a result, I ended up paying too much in estimated taxes and was due a refund. This year, I am reducing the amount I pay each quarter so I likely won't get much back next year.
