As a few top rated sellers have been now informed, the top rated seller standards "Now Require" a Holiday return policy of up to 90 days to keep there Top Rated seller status.

I Strongly urge all Sellers to E Mail E Bay or call them to have this new policy changed.

While I understand Holiday returns, "Numismatics are not jeans or a fishing poll" Metal markets do come into play and all of the major auction houses see 14 days as a long time.

Its time for E Bay to treat Numismatics, like Bullion where they take out the market fluctuation risk to the sellers!

E Bay told me I could keep my Top Rating for 10 mo. and just let Nov and Dec lapse without my rating. OK do everything right and just not list things during the "Top 2 mo. of Sales"

Theyre going to be in for a rude awakening if they actually try and enforce a three month return period. No on in their right mind offers that type of return on coins. Might as well just rent then out for the three months with the promise of refunding 95 percent of the price if its returned before feb

The way I understand it is you do not have to offer the 90 day returns, Nov-1 through Dec-31, you keep your TRS status, what you do not get is TRS plus, your 20% off seller final value fees.

I have already had the discussion with CS on 2 occasions about the unfairness of the new policy, and I especially pointed out the fluctuation of silver and gold and that they should be exempt from the 90 day returns just as bullion is exempt. I do not think they will be swayed.

Unless something has changed,Top Rated sellers keep their TRS status same as always, they just lose the discount and their listings will not display the TRS badge. it will still say top rated seller on your world page or profile page that buyers can see.

I am TRS and PS, and will not be offering 90 day return for that time frame. It will be 14 day returns as usual.

ebay policy-spring update: quoted

The extended holiday return policy will be required for your listings to qualify for Top Rated Plus benefits (20% discount on final value fees and the Top Rated Plus seal) for transactions from November 1 through December 31.
