It kinda combines my 2 hobbies- coin collecting and wood working....I enjoy foreign coins..I like to make boxes or coffeetables, did only inlay a couple times.. I love this violin coin....

It will be interesting to see if the wood being in direct contact with the silver causes the coin to tone prematurely.

Good call.. I didn't even think of that.. But on that note.... boy I sure hope so.... Lol... The only thing that could make this better for me would be if it was a nasty toner

I wonder why the reverse isn't all wood like the obverse? (The neck, peg box and scroll) it may look weird if that toned.... But I think the obverse would look great...
