I came across this coin on ebay UK and it doesn't look right to me so I'm wondering if it's an ancient or a modern counterfeit?

Otaclia's bust is not on a crescent as it should be for an antoninianus and there appear to be file marks (?) on the edges along with blobs of metal elsewhere on the coin.

Real or not? Opinions please.

Its fake. Very much so. Cast (you can tell by the surfaces) and then the edge was filed to hide the seam. They've done a poor job of it - big file marks, missed a bubble in the edge, the faces have some blobs where the impression has been damaged before casting. Its also much too thick...Perhaps its a sestertius cast in silver for a jewellery piece. The reverse lettering appears to be like that on a sestertius.

I queried this coin in a thread a week or so back. I contacted the seller who told me that he had bought as genuine from a dealer and was selling it as a genuine coin, however, if the buyer complained he would refund the money. Says it all really.

Without a doubt a fake. It looks like it's made out of lead.
