But this is not a solid (one) metal planchet. Cents/silver planchets sometimes tends to delaminate. But your coin is a clad coin A clad layer on a copper core. If part of the cladding is missing, then the copper color would show through. But if you are looking at color difference, it may just be a stain to cladding. But a closer image would help to see what you have for sure. Report this Post to the Staff
