A closer shot might be more helpful. I see two different colors in an area near the lower bust. But this is not a solid (one) metal planchet. Cents/silver planchets sometimes tends to delaminate. But your coin is a clad coin A clad layer on a copper core. If part of the cladding is missing, then the copper color would show through. But if you are looking at color difference, it may just be a stain to cladding. But a closer image would help to see what you have for sure.

Is there something on the lower area on the quarter dollar area? The rim looks thinner in that area also?

Ok,yea there was dirt/crud at the bottom there-I wiped it away now

The area around the base of the neck is a stain.
