when I first got this coin,I thought it might be gold.However I tested it and learnt that it was not...well,still I searched through many catalogues and photos on the net...however I could not find even similar ones.if you have any idea,I will be glad to hear...

Yep, ancient brass coins often come out of the ground with a dark, even black, patina. Ancient gold coins never turn black like that. It's brass coins like this that are the source of most of the "found gold!" claims from newbies who buy bulk lots of uncleaned coins.

I haven't found an exact match either, but I think I know who, where and when: Nero, city of Ancyra (another Phrygian one) during the time of magistrate Claudius Artemidoros, c. 55-60 AD. I found this one on Wildwinds with a very similar reverse legend, which I found by typing KLAUDIOU into the partial inscription search - a very useful tool if you have't tried it yet. Both your coin and this one feature Zeus.

thnx a lot Sap...actually I know nothing about coins.but have too many:)so I always mix them up...and cannot keep in my mind.and trying to find one by one can take my whole life:)that's why I search help here.hope I am not giving you headache...:(thnx for everything.
