MetDet71 Pillar of the Community United Kingdom 1570 Posts	Posted 04/21/2014 6:11 pm What is interesting about these is that a large percentage seem to have 2 different metals to them, a bit like fouree coins they seem to have an inner core and an outer 'layer' The first coin pictured has been cleaned in distilled water and with a soft toothbrush, The second coin has been cleaned using an acid that seems to have removed the outer layer. I am not the one that cleaned either coin, but an interesting note. I have seen this on almost all the coins of this type so was it common practice?
