The coins you are taking about are proofs and proof likes, the proof likes are a certain amount of coins off of new dies and proofs are made with highly polished dies that strike the coin twice to achieve high detail.

Basically the first strikes off of a nice, new, polished die... And progressively go from DMPL to SPL to regular UNC coinage... But you can google it and get a more in-depth explanation, but that sums it up real quick, lol
