Hi All,

We have an American Gold Rush store that just opened a month ago in my area. This is the third one I have seen here in New York. They are gold and silver sellers/buyers. I went in there today to check out what they have and to my surprise it wasn't all watches, bullion and jewelry but they had ASE's, Morgan and Peace dollars raw and Slabbed for sale as well as some rare older coins.

My question is has anyone bought from them or heard anything about them? I would like to know what you think before I go and purchase anything.

Thank you.
John

Did they have everything priced, or does the customer have to ask what the price is?

I had to ask about the price on 2 Morgans and 1 ASE. The prices are not listed with each coin or piece.

In Illinois there are signs all over the place saying we buy Gold. Some say we buy Gold/Silver/Platinum. Some say all precious metals. Not sure about a sign that says Gold Rush, but probably just another different type of the same thing. The only place that doesn't buy and sell Gold is the grocery stores. Ot at least so far.

At least it would appear from what you said they are not sending coins to be melted down.

Why would you say that? he said he say Morgan, Peace, and ASE dollars. Didn't say anything about bags or large quantities of bulk 90% for sale. Remember if you're buying a lot of bulk 90% you're going to run out of money if you aren't rapidly moving it on down the line. I'm sure some is probably being sold to silver horders, but the smelters are always looking for material to smelt and they are an easy way to keep their money turning.
