I've got some coins I am going to put up for sale on the Bay Of E and want the full slab shots to exhibit the same quality of my full coin pics. My current full coin set-up does not seem to accomodate a full slab pic. I could use my hand held digital for the slab shots. Butthis might produce 2 totally different looks as far as the coins are concerned and detract from the listings. My current set-up consists of Canon Rebel Eos tethered, bellows, El-Nikkor 75mm 1:4 lens, Rodenstock Apo Rodagon f4 75mm 1:1 lens. Need some Report this Post to the Staff

Such an image would be huge, and inappropriate for ebay. An inexpensive 50mm outdoor lens will provide ample quality for slab pics; all you want to do with them is make it obvious the coin is in a slab and leave the serial number readable. Potential buyers will get that. Your point-and-shoot is very likely all you need. Report this Post to the Staff

Joeyuk Valued Member United States 383 Posts	Posted 04/27/2014 2:11 pm I leave my camera set up the same for full slab or just the coin. I do build up the platform the coin rests on for small coins. I try to have the item fill as much of the frame as possible. I use a canon T4I with a EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM lens. Report this Post to the Staff
