For all you Johnson Matthey collectors, 5000 new 10oz bars being released to JMBullion (and others I'm sure) new serial numbers 1-5000

" JM Bullion is proud to offer the first 5,000 newly minted 10 oz Johnson Matthey silver bars available for the first time since the 1990s! Be the first to lock in this re-launched historic product, now on presale, shipping on or around May 10th - - " also see our other Johnson Matthey Silver Bars."

Thanks for the info. This is pretty interesting. Big JM collector myself. However since Johnson Matthey closed its doors back in the 90s these newer bars (with serial number prefix A and B) were most likely contracted by the Sunshine Mint similar to the way the 1oz bars were done a couple years ago.

Ah, I didnt know that, interesting.

I was reading about engelhard few days ago and they did some of the early Silvertown pours, just goes to show how intermingled these companys are.

Also read that Charles Engelhard was probably the inspiration for the character Goldfinger in the movie of the same name

Thanks for the heads up. As long as we can clearly tell these newly minted apart from the vintage ones that actually demand a decent premium, this might help promote the JM brand even more.

The sunshine version 1 ozers are in serial BXXXXXX already. I assume they have been selling well?

"This re-release features serial numbers starting with "A001001″, but please note that we cannot guarantee any specific serial number for your bars."

So the low serials will go to the board of directors and VIPs?

Can we get these with a " First Strike " label, as long as we pay double the spot value ?
