Howdy,

New user here, so please be kind.

I have the coin seen in these 2 images, and I've got no idea what they are. I've looked on several ID sites, etc. and just cannot figure it out, nothing really close even.

So, the coin is about the size of a nickel and feels heavy for that size.

One side seems to show two figures maybe trying to lift something.

The Other side appears to be one large figure holding a spear and a small figure in the upper right appears to be running maybe? Hard to make out that figure, two legs visible, and what looks to me to be an arm in front bent up, and another to the back. The head is very hard to make out, but looks like maybe a helmet on it?

This same side also has some form of writing, but I can't make out what it is. Looks to be maybe Greek or Roman in basic form - see for yourself, hard to describe.

Your coin is very similar to an ancient Greek Stater from Pamphylia Aspendos circa 380-330 BC.

I'm moving this thread over to the Ancient Coins section for a better ID.

The details are very soft and I suspect that it is a modern cast replica.

Yes, sorry, but this is a "tourist copy" of an Aspendos stater, not a genuine ancient coin. Aspendos is a very popular tourist ruin in modern-day Turkey and the street-hawker stalls there are no doubt full of "coins" like this. I hope to be going there myself in a few months and will probably see for myself.
