I have searched around on the net a little and can't find anything similar to this one. Just would like to know your thoughts on it. Thanks.

A die chip within the digit its self. Not uncommon, I find quite a few of them.

This one Qualifies for the "TOO MUCH THICKNESS" Award.

Small date dies were plagued with them. Thus the large date to replace the problem with the dies. Also when they changed to the large date dies, the mint marks were added in a hurry, thus the hundreds of RPMs for this year.

Die chips are fun! just like "BIE" which are die chips... they can fill a hole in a digit or the space inbetween... sometimes called die chips, blobs, filled, bie, etc...

Variety is the spice of life.
I had a 1954 roll that had me rolling. It was full of all sorts of weird issues. Here are a few more

I figured the six was a die chip. But my focus was more on the inside of the nine and the end of its tail. Just looked like it had something extra there. Thanks all for your replies.
