5 cents.....

I got a S mint mark from 1978 in a coin roll, mirror finish is almost gone and aside from being a hole filler it's not really worth much. It's not silver, but 25% nickel and 75% copper.

Yours is a nice piece and maybe worth more than 5 cents, but don't quit your job

Over 3,000,000 of these were issued.

Yours is pretty nice, so probably about $2-$3

go to http://www.numismedia.com for all fair market value of coins. http://www.pcgs.com and ngccoin.com also have a general listing of what a coin is worth - but they say the value is if it was graded and encapsulated by them. Numismedia may be a bit high, but allows room for haggling.

I suggest learning how to grade coins, as it will up your game in the collectibles market. Getting to master the same grading schema that the Third Party Grading ( TPG) services do will determine whether you cherry pick a coin that is assumed an AU and its truly a MS-60, and increases the value of the coin ( in this instance a few Morgan dollars) by thousands of dollars.

$1.50 is about all I would pay for a coin like this.

Has no marks or nicks I can see, so I say 1 USD to 2 USD.
On ebay maybe like 30 to 50 cents.

@ASLAN TVorlon, If proofs were five cents each I'd do the whole Dansco Album in a second....
