1943 Tombac 5 Cent Clashes On Both Sides

there is some nice clashing going on here. boths sides show clashing near the top of the coin.

on the obverse you can see the top of the flame and the bottoms of the letters ANA of CANADA.

on the reverse you can see the outline of king George and his ear.

in this pic you can see the ear clearly and the clash in between the letters of CANADA and below it towards the 9.

in this picture you can see the clash going through the 9. I had to change the light angles to highlight the clash in different places.

is there a name for a coin with clashes on both sides? anyone know? cheers.

I don't think there's a word for clashed on both sides, perhaps clashed on both sides:-P, or 2 sided clash. Great find!

Nice find, robmck! Keep an eye out for the "hanging T.S" clash variety on the 1943 as well -- and sometimes you can even find a bit of a clash of the king's nose in the date. Lotsa fun on those tombacs!
