I'm really loving this error, die variety, etc searching. It's sort of reignited my passion for collecting since most of my collections are down to key dates and/or upgrading. Searching through bins also kills a good portion of my time (I work night shift so I don't have anything to do during the day).
Is CONECA worth joining? Is the members only section active and full of new information or is it sort of dead? For $25 it doesn't sound like a bad deal at all but if I can not waste money, that'd be cool.
Thanks all!

It is THE club for error collectors of US coins. Their errorscope magazine is very well done. My good friend Mike Ellis was President for some time back when I was a member, I am currently not a member, but I got a lot out of the club and met a bunch of interesting people that collect errors and learned a ton from them over the years. I'd say if error coins are your thing, you should definitely join. Besides it's only $2.00 per month when you break it down, about the same as a Starbucks coffee and tip now days.

You made a great point about it being $2 a month. Just joined about 10 minutes ago.

Are you living in the past? By me a cup of Starbucks coffee starts a lot more than that. And we have 10.25% sales tax. Coneca is a lot cheaper and better than their coffee anyway.

$tarbuk$ coffee (plain coffee) is $1.40 here, but I like the foo-foo mocha drinks myself, and they start at $3.85 and go up rapidly from there. Our tax rate is 8.25-8.75% around Dallas. 10.25%? WOW!
Still $2.00/month for a club membership and publication you will learn and hopefully get a lot out of, is a pretty good deal in my mind.

Their forum is pretty....well.....dead but I hope the publication makes up for it. Wish they had a better archive system but eh, what are you going to do?
I'll just drink one less Rockstar per month while at work. That'll even out!

Well worth it. Their publication, Errorscope is top notch, worth the price of membership alone, in my opinion. Their forum is quiet, but the error guys have more or less migrated to Mike Diamond's Yahoo error forum. https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups...xchange/info

I signed up about a week or two ago. They seem to have some good Young Numismatist programs. I will definitely be taking advantage of those.
