It looks crude/modern to me--Saxby's coins should know better.

They do. Saxby's has the reputation for hype. They are on the FORVM notorious fake sellers list because they occasionally hype fake or tooled coins as genuine, but more usually they hype dirt-common coins by mis-identifying them as some sort of super-scarce variety. Funnily enough, they never offer for sale a genuinely super-scarce variety that has been mis-identified as a common coin.
