So after finding that type 1 buffalo the other day at my LCS in the 25 cent bin, I went back today to see if they had anymore and surprisingly they did. 8 more of them! 2 1913 S type 1s and 6 1913 P type 1s. All had for 25 cents each.

Nice finds. I always look through the common Buffalo nickel box, Look for over MM and early dated nickels.
Like to cherry pick those, found quite a few of them.

I'll sell you twice as many for half as much.

Based on ebay sold auction results, you overpaid on the Philly's. The S-mints were a decent deal, though, with dateless ones going for about $5 ea.

If you bought them just for your personal enjoyment, all the more power to you. If you bought them for profit, well, you'll be alright.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm pretty stoked on them.
I'm not too worried about overpaying, since they were only 25 cents each. And if you want to sell me 16 for a dollar, I'll take them.

I agree, Great Find!! When your talking about that price, who cares, buy all they have. Sometimes its the history in the coin that makes it more valuable to me. Enjoy your Find

I sell the D mints for about 5 and the S just isn't selling for 5.

But you still got some great coins!
1913 in low grades are the best.

So I'm not too bright, I have about 15 Buffalos that I cannot determine the date. After reading this thread I thought, what the heck? Maybe there are 1913s in there and sure enough, 2 are 1913 (unfortunately no D or S). At least now I know what date they are! Thanks for the post Keepcalmandcoinon!

Never met an (unaltered) Indian Head Nickel I didn't like.
