Thoroughly endorse the recommendation for Gene and Diann Bruder (typeCoin.com). He's very active on the show circuit (he's at PNNA in Tukwila right now - talked to him on Friday). When I talked to him in Grapevine (TX) a few weeks back, he had indicated that Long Beach will be his last show for a while however. Prices are fair, but he doesn't stock cheap stuff. Also Diann knows more about coins than she lets on, but it's very much "his" business. Charmy is a nice lady too - talked to her on Friday. Gary Adkins - Gary Adkins Associates (www.coinbuys.com) - I've exchanged emails with them about a coin, you don't get more honest than this: "Gary has looked at this coin from your first email and confirmed you first conclusion. This coin came from the mint with these defects, whether you call them extreme die polishing or planchet striations. The real issue is that we would not like you to buy a coin that you are not comfortable about. Please take your time and you can rest assured that we have a no questions asked return policy." West Coast Coins (Toledo OR) - Revik has two ebay stores, safe_rev http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_ssn..._rev&_sop=10 and safe_rev_7 http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_ssn...ev_7&_sop=10 Very active on the show circuit ( ebay and shows only, no B&M). (_7 is the better stuff). Wide range, amazing volume - when I first ran into him in Portland, every other dealer had one or two of the series I was interested in, Rev had 4 or 5 pages of 2x2s. Finally, Scarsdale Coin - http://www.coinhelp.com - although they have a web presence, they are not the most web savvy on the planet.

Cheapslabs has a lot of good coins, despite the name.

Try Miller's Mint too. a bit overpriced but great inventory and good for ideas. Something to remember though is a great web site today may well be a lousy one tomorrow. Of all the ones recommended so far, I'd keep away from Littleton. I hate a place that puts you on a list and starts sending you coins without you asking for them. Another thing too is when someome recommends a place, for all you konw they work there. There are so many on line dealers and some may be OK, some may be great, some horrible. Make your own list from what you read here and check them all out the best you can. Sort of like going to a used car lot. Never know what to expect.

Jerry Golz is the guy at http://www.typecoincompany.com/ and is a great guy to do business with. I have bought many coins from him and sold him some also. Gerry Fortin has a selection of Liberty Seated coins which is outstanding. Easy to deal with, I've bought some MS dimes and a couple of very nice better date quarters at very fair prices. He specializes in dimes and also has a very good selection of quarters for every budget. Some Half Dimes, halves and dollars also. His web book on dime varieties is awesome. 1842 Large Date PCGS AU-50 1849 quarter PCGS AU-55 white, not cleaned, it looks much better in hand. I've talked to Charmy at a couple of shows and was not impressed by her attitude when I asked to look at a few cents plus her prices are through the roof.

Try http://www.paradisecoin.com/ His website is strictly "1996" but he has a ton of inventory, is not crazy on pricing, and the 9 coins I've bought were all perfectly graded raw coins. Just don't buy any of the ones I want! ;-)

If you are into Buffalo nickels, Dave's Coins in San Diego is outstanding. HUGE selection and Dave is a truly expert grader, very fair, doesn't hassle you on returns, and does 5 month layaways. Super nice guy. He does not post pictures on his website ( http://www.thecollectorsfriend.com ). I have acquire most of my best Buffaloes from Dave, all raw, including my 26-S (AU55), 24-S (MS62), and 21-S (AU55). I also have a 1919-D MS64 on layaway. My only caution is that he offers a lot of better coins "Straddle-Graded;" e.g. he will grade a Buffalo MS64-5 or MS65-6 and then price it in between. I'm personally much more comfortable buying a coin with a committed grade in case I decide to get the coin slabbed. Dave also has huge stocks of other coins, especially Indian cents, Lincolns, Jeffersons, Mercuries, and other lower-denomination coins. Great resource...

Some good Canadian ones are:
Silvergoldbull (silvergoldbull.com) Gatewestcoins (gatewestcoin.com) CalgaryCoin (Calgarycoin.com) Canadian Coins & Currency (cdncoin.com) J&M Coins (jandm.com) Modern Coin Mart (moderncoinmart.com) SilverTowne (silvertowne.com) Talisman Coins (Talismancoins.com)
Some Good US dealers that I've dealt with before:
MNS (Moneta Numismatic Services) DLT Rare Coins (David L. Tranbarger Rare Coins) David Lawrence Rare Coins
But pretty much if you're looking for decent prices and high-quality coins with good customer service, just go to VCoins.com

I agree with zxcccxz except Talisman Coins, they don't have ethics.

Burton mentioned safe_rev from ebay. He does have a huge inventory listed on ebay, but have to admit I have not had luck buying from him. I find most of his material optimistically graded and his pricing will always be at the very top end of his assumed grade, ignoring key flaws such as large dings, scratches, and rim damage. Safe_rev does sell a ton of stuff on ebay and has 0 recent negative feedback, so clearly he is a valued resource to many.
