This looks very similar to the 1982 5 Mark commemorative KM#85, but there is no denomination on it. The coin is about 3.5 cm in diameter and 4 mm thick. The edge inscription reads " DDR FRIEDEN UND SOZIALISMUS".
The coin/medal is perfectly round, the imperfections on the edge are from the scanner.
It looks like a coin in every way except for the lack of denomination. Any ideas?
Thanks

The lack of a mint mark (A for Berlin?)
also suggests that it is a medal and not a coin.

I think if my memory is correct that this medal may have been part of a set with the Goethe 5mark and companion 5 mark probe.
